It is a real privilege to have been elected by fellow councillors to serve as Vice President of the Association of Irish Local Government in 2020. AILG represents the interests of Ireland’s 949 Councillors, and is committed to promoting effective local government.
I look forward to working hard on behalf of my colleagues across all of Ireland, with the incoming President, Cllr. Michael Farrell from Longford County Council. These are challenging times for local government, and AILG must be a strong voice in support of Councillors and the communities they represent
